PFC EVENTS
The events we sponsor each year can change but there are some activities we tend to bring back often, due to their high popularity. Here are some of them.
Trunk or Treat
Trunk or treat is a fun outdoor Halloween themed event with car decorating, costumes, candy, music, dancing, and playground games, usually held on a Friday night in October.

Cookies with Santa
An evening in December, families can take pictures with Santa, eat goodies, and pick from a giving tree to grant teacher's wishes. Sixth graders may sell candygrams and baked goods.

Lock-In for Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Graders
The older grades take over the school! The lock-in, held in March, offers a chance for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders to have fun with their friends on a Friday evening. There's pizza, snacks, inflatables, competitions, a picture booth, and fun theme rooms.

High Interest Day
High Interest Day, held in May, is one memorable school day. Students move from "class" to "class" trying new and different activities throughout the day. But these aren't ordinary classes. Your high energy student could choose capture the flag or ultimate frisbee. Your budding chef might try smoothie or quesadilla making. Creative kiddos can enjoy rock painting or name art. The day ends with an all-school assembly.

Hot Dog Day
The school opens its doors for parents (and other family members) to have a free hot dog lunch with their student. Tables, chairs, and picnic tables are set up outside. Kids play on the playground. Families mingle. The end of school is near so this serves as part of a last hurrah for the school year.

Journey Into the Arts
This program offers students a chance to learn more about and create art. Last year's project was replacing the Shine mural on the Orchard Lane building, welcoming you to school. All hands (and grades) were on deck for this one. And it turned out spectacular!

Grade Specific Activities
We sponsor extra programs by grade.
Kindergarten: Zoological Society on-site classes
First and Third Grades: David Stokes on-site classes
Second Grade: First Stage Theater productions
Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Grade: Lock-in night
Sixth Grade: Moving on ceremony and activities

Classroom Support
This can include Scholastic News handouts, classroom expense reimbursement for staff, reading programs, playground supplies, and financial help for field trips or snacks.

Staff Appreciation
We show staff how grateful we are for all their hard work with staff lunches, cookies and coffee, bus driver gifts, and teacher appreciation week gifts and activities.
